Mineralogical Museum named Eugene Lazarenko not just bears the name of Evgeny Lazarenko, and there he founded. This happened in 1852/1853 and 1990s, and in 1999 was named after the academician Yevgeny Lazarenko.

In the Museum there are more than 14,000 samples of minerals from the geological formations of Ukraine and countries of Europe, Asia, America, Africa, Australia. They are placed in 83 cases display on the area of 330 m2. The biggest highlight of the Museum there are unique exhibits of minerals, among which the crystal-giant Apatite with Skarnu Transbaikalia, giant crystals Morion and feldspar from the chamber of pegmatites Volhynia, pyrite with Berezovsky gold Deposit in the Urals, unique Trusov units smoky quartz of pegmatites of the Urals and brimstone from the field shore-su in Central Asia. Many in the Museum of jewelry and decorative stones, among which - malachite, lazurite, fluorite, turquoise, multicolored stones, amber, garnet, beryl, Topaz, ruby, etc.

The Museum presents the main directions of modern Mineralogy: General Mineralogy; genetic Mineralogy; systematic Mineralogy; thematic expositions.
