Zhovti Vody - a city of regional subordination Dnepropetrovsk region. Zhovtovods'ka is the administrative center of the City Council. The city is located on the Zhovti Water River Yellow (yellow ford crossing). Height above sea level is 150 meters. Zhovti water famous for its past. Honoring the memory of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and his associates in sculpture constructed of three riders (Battle of yellow water). The city is divided into 3 parts. The eastern part is the oldest (50th - 60th years of XX century.). The city center is in the middle part (70 th - 80 th of XX century.). The western part is a bedroom (90 years). In 1951 he found uranium. Since then the city Zhovti Vody is the only center in Ukraine for the extraction and processing of uranium ore.
