Nikopol - the administrative center of Nikopol district in Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine. The city is situated on the banks of the Dnipro River reservoir Kahovsky. The history of settlement in the region began in the Neolithic day. It was here in 1647 Bohdan Khmelnytsky was elected Hetman of Ukraine. The climatic conditions of the city include dry summers and mild winters. Nikopol is a major industrial center of Ukraine. To the northwest at 3 km from Nikopol is a large industrial enterprise - Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant (NFP). This is one of the largest metallurgical enterprises in Ukraine. The city is also well developed manufacturing furniture. To date, its development becomes small and medium businesses.
