Yakymivka - small town, is the center area Yakymivskoho in the Zaporozhye region. Located in the Azov Lowland Small Utlyuk the river.
Yakymivka Founded in 1833, the status of townships granted since 1957. Yakymivka population in 2012 is 11,952 persons. The area is 8.98 sq. km. The climate is continental, steppe, summers are hot and dry, winters with little snow.
Around Yakymivka are mounds dating from the Bronze Age (I millennium BC. E.).
In Akimovka monument obelisk Red soldiers who were executed in 1918. Yet there are two cultural centers, museum and many libraries.
