Krasyliv - a city in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Ukraine, Centre Krasilivsky area. The city is situated on the right bank of the river Slus. Distance from Krasylova to Khmelnitsky - 36 km.

For the first time in history Krasyliv mentioned in 1444, and since 1946 Krasyliv recognized city. Krasylova area - 28 sq. km. According to the July 1, 2012 the city's population is about 20,000 people. The climate in Krasilov is continental and humid.

Earlier Krasyliv nazyvly Red, they say the name came from the beauty of the city, however this is only one of the options etymology of the name. For other versions Krasyliv has its name because it has always lived pretty girls and strong boys. Less pleasant suggestion of the name attribute color of blood which flowed rivers, when the population was attacked by the Tatars. Naybanalnisha version indicates the unknown man with the surname Krasyliv.

The nature of the place is really very beautiful and picturesque, but the points in Krasilov not so much. Architectural monument is Sapieha Palace, which now operates Lyceum. Another notable building in the town - a church that is founded Sapieha family. Now under the care of the church took Capuchin monks.
