Krolevets - district center in Sumy region, a city of regional subordination. Located on the banks of richy Ret and its tributary rivers Svydni where there was a known Krolevetsky fair. Distance from regional center is 149 km (highway R44). Krolevets located in the steppe of Upland. The population is 23,809 people. In 1601 settlers founded a town called Krolevets - in honor of King (Krul - in Polish king). The city is located at the crossroads of trade routes, which led to rapid growth.
