Henichesk district - south-east area of the Kherson region. It was formed in 1784. Population over 61 thousand inhabitants. The region is bounded by the Azov Sea, Dead Sea (Fr. Siwash) and Utlyutskyy estuary.
The district is located Azov Syvas'kyi National Park.
In Henichesk is a sandy spit Arabatskaya Arrow. An interesting place is the island Biruchiy, which are more than 150 species of plants.
Archeological sites in the area are Henichesk mounds and Parking Stone Age hunters.
Area rich in therapeutic mud and mineral springs.
