Vinogradov - the regional center of the Transcarpathian region. Located close to the border with Hungary and Romania. The city is located on the river Tisa River. It is home to 25,481 persons. Settlement area is 32.09 km. square. In Vinogradov is a railway station, there are many highways.
In 1946 Vinogradov was called Sevliush. Sevliush first mentioned in 1262, when Istvan V gave the town the status of a free royal city. But the settlement at the site dates back to the 9th century.
