Krasny Luch founded in 1895, originally referred to as city Kryndachivka to 1920. Status of Krasny Luchu was granted in 1926. Currently the city has about 84 thousand inhabitants. The main branch of industry in the city is the extraction of coal, which cemented his status as the largest center of coal mining in the area.
The largest and most interesting cultural center is a memorial at the Mius River, located 10 km from the city. Its area is about 42 hectares. It consists of several memorable places:
