Poltava - the city in the Poltava region of Ukraine, the regional center. The city is situated in the east of the region.
Founded in Poltava 899 year granted city status since 1174. As of February 1, 2013 population is 296,760 people. The city area is 103 sq. km. The climate in Poltava temperate.
