Vovkiv - a village in Pustomytovskogo district, Lviv region. It is home to nearly 300 people. Settlement area is 1.79 km. square. The village is located 22 km. from the city, it is interesting that once walked here alone Ivan Franko.

The first written mention of the village dates back to 1398 year. Since ancient times, the village community Vovkiv was active. In particular, in the early twentieth century in the village centers operated companies "Native School", "farmer" and trading cooperatives.
