Stary Sambir - Starosambirskyi district center - a city located in the upper reaches of the Dniester River in the Lviv region. Founded city in 1199, the population is approximately 6.2 thousand people. The city is how county-level and railway station aliznychna - "Stary Sambor."

Stary Sambor was a major trading center. It was organized by two fairs and weekly auctions. All merchants who came to the Old Sambora, were obliged to put up for sale absolutely all goods that they were only unsold could carry on.
