Zelene. Vacation

Village Zelene was founded in 1899. Originally it was called Zelene River (the old name of the river Black Cheremosh). The village is a border point, the southern part borders with Romania. The population is about 900 people. Through the village river Black Cheremosh.

The main attraction of the village is the wooden church Beheading of John the Baptist, built in 1872. The church is known for its iconostasis.

Also in the village is a museum of Hutsul embroidery.

In the village situated glacial lakes Maricheyka. There is another lake - Shybyene, formed about 200 years ago, such a result shifting mountains.
