Mykolaiv (Lviv region) - the district center in Lviv region. It is home to 14,824 people. Area of the city is 5 km. square. Because Mykolaiv pass roads, and it is 3 km from the railway station Mykolaiv-Dniester on the line Lviv-stry.
Date of the founding of the city is in 1570. In the same year the Polish King Sigismund II Augustus gave the letter to Mykolaiv Shlyakhtich Tarle the establishment of the city near Drohovyzha. In honor of the founder of the city was named Mykolaiv. Until 1772 the city was part of Poland, then passed to the Austrian Empire. During this time, residents of Mykolaiv too suffered from predatory attacks of the Crimean Tatars. In late August 1914 in Mykolaiv started fierce battles. Attempts Austrians keep Mykolaiv in his hands ended in defeat. In the fierce fighting on the Austro-Russian front participated Legion of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen. After the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire at the beginning of November 1918 in Galicia proclaimed West Ukransku People's Republic. To protect the Ukrainian lands created Ukrainian Galician Army.
