Velykyi Lubin. Vacation

Velykyi Lubin - urban village in Ukraine, Gorodok district, Lviv region. Located 22 km from the regional center - the city. 

There are deposits of hydrogen sulphide water, which created the basis for many health centers of the city.

Settlement was established in the days of Kievan Rus as a defensive fortification against the raids of the Mongol-Tatars. In the mid-15th century, the town was divided into two parts: Large and Small Lubin.At that time the land in the possession of the family Wilczek. And in the 17th century was built the castle, which belonged to the family Wilczek.

Over the centuries, inhabitants of the settlement are actively engaged in farming and crafts.

Interesting fact from the land of Lubny occurred in the 19th century.The owner of the estate Brunner won the maps in this estate of the previous owner Jablonski. During his reign actively rozvyvasya resort sector has become one of the largest resorts in Eastern Europe.

In the years 1914-15 there were bloody battles between the armies of Austria and Russia.

June 29, 1941, the city was occupied by the Germans. During the defensive battle settlement was severely damaged. However, after the Second World War in 1946, the Grand Resort Luben began to develop intensively.

In the industrial sector stands distillery, which in the 19th century was the largest in Eastern Halychnyni.

The decoration of the town is the famous Lubin Big and beautiful palace Brunytskyh. The palace is located in the eastern part of the settlement. The exact date of construction of the building is unknown, but suggest that it was in the early 18th century. With the independence of Ukraine palace was renovated with the help of philanthropist Switzerland - Rev. Robert Hotsa, as well as funds from the local budget.
