Maniavskyi skyt - the current historic Holy Cross Monastery. It is an architectural monument of XVII century. Maniavskyi skyt located in the village Maniava Bogorodchany district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, in picturesque Carpathians - surrounded by huge pines and fir age.The monks came to Manyava long time - even in the second half of the XIII century. The area attracted them to their usamitnenistyu from the madding crowd. Here there is nothing to distract from prayer and reflection on God. Isolated monastic cloister just called hermitages.
Maniavskyi monastery was founded in 1608 by John inmates Athos monastery Vyshensky and Job Knyahynytskym, who became its first abbot.
