The museum was founded in 1991 to promote art and artists Shashkevych Zolochivskiy edge. Profile museum - literary. Funds has about 300 exhibits. The first section of the exhibition presents materials and works of writers, poets, composers, singers from different generations, life and activity is associated with Zolochivschini. Among them - the famous names known in Ukraine and the world. The most interesting attraction of the museum is the anniversary edition of the newspaper "Sunday" (New York, November 5, 1911), dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Shashkevych.
