Truskavets. Vacation
Truskavets - a city of regional subordination in the Lviv region. It is home to 29,729 people, besides monthly rests an average of 13 000 people, of whom more than 2,500 foreigners. The first written mention of the city dates from the year 1469. One should highlight the activities of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists in Truskavets (OUN) and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) before and after 1939. Two natives Maximus - Vasyl Bilas and Dmitry Danylyshyn made an attempt on the Polish Sejm deputy Tadeusz Holuvku. It happened in Gorodok August 24, 1931. It was entirely a political act against known Polish chauvinist. The action failed, but had great resonance throughout Poland. Two militants were arrested and sentenced to death. Their heroic behavior during the process and the performance penalty had great influence on the Ukrainian in the occupied Polish territories. Truskavchanyn Roman Makomatskyy, brother Vasyl Bilas, a member of the OUN and UPA fighters, recruited informants in the Soviet general Saburova wife Nina, who helped save the lives of thousands of Galicians disrupt a number of NKVD punitive operations against the civilian population.
