Diocesan Museum in Truskavec was created October 11, 1998 One of its founders was Dr. Roman Smyk, nephew of the writer Lepkoho Bogdan, who was educated in Ukrainian secondary schools in Berezhany and Stanislav (now Ivano-Frankivsk), and received his medical education at the universities of Krakow and Berlin. That gave Mr. Roman Smyk collection of materials about Joseph Blind, which became the basis for a museum. Today the museum exhibition gives an opportunity to learn about the history of Sambir-Drohobych Diocese of the life and work of prominent figures of Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, including Archbishop Josaphat Kuntsevych, Metropolitan Sheptytsky patriarch Joseph Blind and explore one of the exhibitions of sacred art.
