Vyshnivets - urban village in Ukraine, Zbarazh district, Ternopil region. The town lies on the left bank of the river Gorin (a tributary of the river Pripyat 'Five).The population of the town is about 4 million people. Is the center of the village council in the village which also includes Zahoroddya.
The first mention of the town dates back to 1395 Vyshnivets year. Mentioned in the chronicles as the property of Prince Korybut Olherdycha. Are written mention as a village in 1463, became known as Vishnevetsky.
By the end of the 15th century the city received Magdeburg Law. The city is often destroyed as a result of the Mongol-Tatar raids. Emblem of the town is considered a generic sign Vishnevetskih family - "Korbut."This is sort of a gold cross on a red background.
