Yavorivskyi quarry - the largest in Ukraine on depth up to 70 m) and the volume of water (over 200 million) artificial lake.

Created on the project of the Lviv Institute «Garona». Appeared on the site of the former quarry («Jaworowska Sulphur») for extraction of sulphur.

Filling water career happened in 2002-2006.

In future, this lake can become a place of recreation for residents not only with neighboring Lviv regions, but also a number of border towns of Poland.

On the banks of the reservoir should be created 5 recreation areas whose names correspond to the nearest villages: zaluzie (Gulf of Yaksha, with a length of 800 m and width of 100 m; the Bay is well positioned to be a harbour for yachts and motor boats), Cetus (large Hydropark), Olszanica (international recreational establishments of sanatorium type), Forest, and Olki (summer tourist base).

The lake is full of the waters of the river Shklo with its tributaries Tereshka, Big and Small Geneze, Russian, Yaksha.

In the lake, pike, roach, crucian carp, perch, carp, tench (shallow water and in the reed-beds). While it looks like it's a pool for General use - there are standard rules of Amateur fishing. Fishing is from a boat.

Actively developing water sports, every year, more and more lovers of sports such as Windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Surface area - 10 km.

Average depth of 10-25 m.
