Lake Periwinkle in New Rozdol

In the 60-ies of the XX century, on the orders of the government of the time was off by a dam the river periwinkle. And on that spot made recreational-entertainment complex "Kashtan" and children's camp "Barvinok".

Lake periwinkle stretches for 2-3 km and width-not more than 10 metres. The depth of the average fluctuates 13-18 kilometers, however places depression up to 90 metres.

The lake itself and the beaches are subordinated to the local UHFA and huntsman.

There are 5 of recreational beaches, 3 of them are the following titles: new beach,the old beach,and froggy.

In the lake a lot of fish: carp, pike, perch,roach,bleak and others are crayfish.

Periwinkle is surrounded on 3 sides by forest.
